Sustainability meets vocational training: Future Perfect at the SBFI Autumn Conference

At the Autumn Conference on Vocational Education and Training organised by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI), Future Perfect had a stand at the exhibition area.

One question kept coming up in the discussions: how can Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) be implemented in a way that focuses on practical skills and is relevant to the respective sector? This question is of equal concern to vocational colleges, sector organisations (OdA) and training companies. General sustainability content is not enough to achieve this. What is needed are formats that tie in with the learners’ day-to-day working lives.

This is precisely where Future Perfect comes in. Together with vocational schools and sector organisations, we develop digital learning pathways and teaching materials for initial vocational training. We also offer experience-based formats: Circular Quest brings the circular economy into the urban environment, whilst the Re-Use Game brings circular construction to life in inter-company courses (ÜK).

We would like to thank the SBFI for organising the event and all visitors for the discussions. We will incorporate the feedback into the further development of our programmes.

Would you like to introduce ESD at your vocational college or within your professional organisation? Please email us at info@future-perfect.ch or explore our programmes.
